Voith Expands BlueLine Portfolio with InfibraDeflaker

  • Voith launches InfibraDeflaker to advance efficient and flexible stock preparation
  • New deflaking solution expands Voith’s BlueLine portfolio for modern stock preparation
  • Modular single- and double-disc configuration enables flexible capacity adjustment
  • Water-cooled cartridge bearing simplifies maintenance and sup-ports long-term runability

Voith has introduced the InfibraDeflaker, a new deflaking solution designed to meet the increasing demands of modern stock preparation and wet end process. As part of the BlueLine portfolio, the InfibraDeflaker focuses on operational flexibility, resource efficiency and ease of maintenance while ensuring reliable fiber processing across a wide range of applications.

Developed based on more than six decades of deflaking expertise, the InfibraDeflaker enables paper producers to adapt their operations quickly to changing production requirements. The machine can be configured in single-disc or double-disc operation, allowing throughput levels of up to 1,000 or 2,000 l/min, depending on process needs and filling selection. This modular concept supports flexible capacity management without requiring additional machines.

A central design feature is the water-cooled cartridge bearing, which allows the complete bearing unit to be replaced quickly and directly on site. This approach significantly simplifies maintenance work and helps reduce unplanned downtime. In addition, the integrated mechanical seal contributes to lower maintenance effort and supports long-term, stable operation.

The InfibraDeflaker also addresses efficiency targets in fiber processing. Optimized acceleration and deceleration of fibers improve fiber breakdown while preserving fiber quality, making the solution particularly suitable for OCC screening applications and production reject preparation. At the same time, the design supports resource-efficient operation and consistent machine runability.

The InfibraDeflaker replaces previous deflaker concepts within the portfolio and supports Voith’s strategy of offering modernized, resource-efficient solutions for stock preparation. Its sturdy housing, accessible design for filling changes and compatibility with existing process layouts allow straightforward integration into both new and existing lines. A rebuild adapter is available to replace a Voith Deflaker E2000 without having to make any changes to the foundation.
