“Moin” to Glückstadt! (traditional greeting in the north of Germany) The teams from Steinbeis Papier GmbH in Glückstadt and GAW technologies GmbH recently successfully commissioned a new starch processing plant.
Steinbeis Papier is the European market leader for recycled graphic paper. With an annual capacity of around 300,000 tons of recycled paper and 350 employees, the company operates one of the most modern ecologically-integrated paper mills in the recycled paper industry and sets standards in sustainability. The product portfolio includes printing and copy papers, coated offset papers, as well as digital printing and label papers.
GAW supplied a state-of-the-art unit for the processing of enzymatic starch – a truly unique facility. The plant processes one of the most highly concentrated starch slurries in the industry and now produces two different paper grades in Glückstadt: recycled paper refined with surface starch and recycled paper refined with coating starch. Another step toward innovation and quality.
The collaboration between Steinbeis Papier and GAW technologies was simply outstanding. A big thank you to everyone involved for your tremendous commitment and impressive team spirit.
