The number of paper manufacturers using the digital remote services of Voith’s OnPerformance.Lab is growing continuously. After setting the cornerstone for the global OnPerformance.Lab in Heidenheim in the fall of 2020, Voith is now strengthening its regional market presence in the Asia-Pacific region with another location in Tokyo, Japan. Experts at the OnPerformance.Lab advise, accompany and support customers worldwide, enabling them to deploy digitalization profitably.
“With the help of innovative solutions, customers can increase the quality of their products and minimize the resource requirements in the papermaking process,” confirms Ulrike Welp-Wallenmaier, Senior Manager Business Development at Voith Paper. “To achieve this, customers’ process and machine data are continuously analyzed digitally and combined with the comprehensive technology and automation knowledge of Voith experts as well as artificial intelligence.”
Dr. Julius Flitsch, Director Remote Service Center at Voith Paper, adds, “Our experts work closely with our customers, whether installing and commissioning our digital solutions or subsequently individually monitoring and further optimizing their process and machine performance. We see the addition of another site of the OnPerformance.Lab network as a logical step to meet the increasing global demand for our digital solutions.”
Today, numerous paper manufacturers worldwide already use Voith’s remote services and digital applications.
“We use the condition monitoring system as well as remote service to keep our machines running at optimal levels,” says KwanJu Lee, Automation Team Manager at South Korean paper manufacturer Moorim Paper. “Therefore, we would like to continuously develop automation and our existing system together with Voith.” KleanNara, a paper manufacturer in South Korea, is also benefiting from OnPerformance.Lab’s remote services, which, in combination with OnCare.Health, allow it to achieve increased plant efficiency in all areas.
As part of the global OnPerformance.Lab network, the additional site in Tokyo will drive new projects in the in the Asia-Pacific region that contribute to more sustainable and efficient paper production, now and in the future, due to the new technologies and services implemented.
