ECOFARIO’s High-G Technology: Revolutionizing Reject Treatment

Less Waste, More Value: Rethinking Reject Treatment in Paper Mills. Rejects are an unavoidable part of paper production – but not everything leaving the process as reject is necessarily waste. Especially in mills processing recovered paper, reject flows can contain a complex mixture of unwanted contaminants, water and valuable fibers. The challenge is to remove unwanted materials efficiently while retaining resources that can remain in the production process. This is where improved separation can make a difference.

Valuable fibers should stay in the process

Every fiber unnecessarily discharged with the reject represents lost raw material. At the same time, contaminants need to be removed reliably to protect equipment and maintain stable production and product quality.

ECOFARIO’s High-G Technology uses centrifugal and fluid forces as well as controlled flow patterns to separate unwanted materials from pulp suspensions and process waters efficiently and continuously.

Depending on the individual application, the High-G Light-Line focuses on particles and contaminants that are lighter than the carrier liquid, while the High-G Heavy-Line targets heavier and coarse particles. The High-G Combi-Line combines both separation principles within one process concept.

The objective is clear: remove unwanted materials while retaining as much valuable material as possible in the process.

Looking at rejects differently

Optimizing reject treatment can have an impact beyond waste reduction.

Improved separation can contribute to better fiber recovery, reduced material losses and more efficient handling of the remaining reject.

But every paper mill is different. Furnish, contaminant load, water circuits and existing equipment determine where an additional separation step can create the greatest operational benefit.

This is why on-site testing and application-specific engineering are an important part of ECOFARIO’s approach. The High-G Technology can be plug&play integrated into existing industrial processes and adapted to the individual application.

For ECOFARIO, reject treatment is therefore not simply an end-of-pipe challenge.

It is an opportunity to recover valuable resources and optimize the production process.
