The premier edition of Paper Technology International has been published and the digital copy is now available to download for free to all Pulp, Paper, Board and Tissue industry specialists.
The beautifully presented edition is over 100 pages, with 25 technical articles from 35 highly respected industry authors, making it an essential read for all industry professionals.
The foreword, by Cepi Director General Jori Ringman, highlights the exciting transformation the industry is experiencing as it successfully reinvents itself once again, continuously evolving as it has done many times in its long history.
In circularity, the sector sets a high bar for others, and continues to raise the bar for itself too. Not only as paper recycling champions, but as multiple champions too, using every resource so that nothing is wasted. Ringman explains confidently
“We are an industry of the future,” however,
“Is there anything at which we are not good? Yes: we are shamefully bad in telling our stakeholders what we do, and how sustainable we are. Many still perceive us as a “sunset sector,” and Paper Technology International is a welcome example of making use of old and new media to spread a better understanding.”
At Paper Technology International we are also passionate about sustainability. It is therefore no coincidence that many of the articles in this premier edition have focus, or touch on this subject of paramount importance.
Driven by today’s increased consumer awareness of environmental issues, and ever-growing sense of personal responsibility, our industry is making great strides towards a circular economy, something we all owe to future generations.
